Civic engagement is an important component of the work of YBWS. Our members are dedicated to effecting change in the community by hosting a multitude of free public events designed to bring awareness to issues affecting people of color in our community.

In collaboration with other local organizations, we draw attention to issues including but not limited to: education, community building, youth engagement, family wellness and relationships issues such as domestic violence or emotional abuse.
