YBWS strongly believes in “lifting as we climb,” so in 2008 we launched Future Leaders by Design (FLD) to develop the potential of girls of color.

This free, six-month program, designed and facilitated by members of YBWS, is geared to motivate high school girls to reach infinite possibilities by providing a safe space to learn the importance of demonstrating civic engagement, having self-awareness, developing meaningful relationships, and achieving academic excellence.
